Stockholm, April 30, 2025 – Gumpearl has been awarded its first public procurement contract – a big step for the Swedish company that wants to make dental care more sustainable, hygienic and plastic-free.
The procurement concerns the company's toothpaste tablets, and is part of an extensive purchasing collaboration between the regions of Uppsala, Dalarna, Västmanland, Sörmland and Örebro. The agreement covers disposable items for healthcare and dental care - where durability, hygiene and function are crucial.
– This is an important milestone for us. Being able to deliver to the public sector shows that there is a real interest in thinking new things, also in healthcare. What is Gumpearl?
Gumpearl manufactures toothpaste tablets in Sweden – a hygienic, smart and plastic-free alternative to toothpaste in tubes. The tablets are easy to use: chew, brush, done. No messy tubes, no plastic, no waste.

About the procurement
The regional collaboration includes purchases from over 360 different suppliers each year. A total of approximately 100,000 items. Becoming part of this network as a new supplier is both a seal of quality and a big step forward for Gumpearl.
