Dental nurse's tips

  • Avoid excessive sugar intake : Sugar is the biggest enemy of your teeth. It leads to acidic attacks on the enamel which can cause cavities.
  • Visit the dentist regularly : Regular visits to the dentist help detect problems early and prevent major damage.
  • Choose the right products : Use products that are gentle on your teeth and gums but at the same time effective in keeping your mouth healthy.

Dentists often recommend the following steps to brush your teeth effectively:

Choose the right toothbrush : Use a toothbrush with soft bristles to avoid damaging your gums. An electric toothbrush can also be effective.

Use fluoride toothpaste : Fluoride helps strengthen tooth enamel and prevent cavities. Dentists recommend using toothpaste that contains fluoride.

Brush twice a day : Brush your teeth morning and night to remove plaque and prevent cavities and gum disease.

Brush for at least two minutes : Make sure to brush your teeth for at least two minutes each time. Divide your mouth into sections and spend time on each part.

Use the right technique : Hold the toothbrush at a 45-degree angle to the gums. Brush in small, circular motions instead of rubbing back and forth. Brush every surface of your teeth: the inside, outside, and chewing surfaces. Don't forget to brush your tongue, as it can collect bacteria and cause bad breath.

Use dental floss : Dental floss should be used at least once a day to remove plaque and food debris between teeth where the toothbrush cannot reach.

Rinse with mouthwash : Use a fluoride-containing mouthwash for extra protection and fresh breath.

Visit the dentist regularly : Regular dental visits for checkups and cleanings are recommended, usually every six to twelve months.

By following these recommendations, you can help ensure good oral health and prevent dental problems.
